What does an AI phone assistant do for a hair salon?
An AI phone assistant answers your salon’s phone when you are cutting or closed. It answers questions about treatments, prices and opening hours and logs appointment, reschedule and cancellation requests with a name and phone number.
Can the assistant log an appointment with a regular stylist?
Yes. The assistant asks for the preferred stylist and adds it to the request. Booking straight into that stylist’s calendar is possible if your salon calendar allows a link; we look at it case by case.
Does the assistant work with an online booking system?
By default the assistant logs the request and you confirm the appointment. A link with an online calendar such as Google Calendar or Calendly is possible by arrangement. For other salon systems it depends on what that system allows.
What is the difference from a chatbot?
A chatbot answers questions on your website or via WhatsApp; the phone assistant answers the phone. Altijdbereikt provides both, and they can use the same information.
Does the caller know they are talking to an AI?
Yes. The assistant says at the start of every call that it is an AI assistant. That way it is always clear to the caller, in line with the transparency rules of the European AI Act.
